- Assistant Camp Teachers: $17/hour
- Lead Camp Teachers: $18–$20/hour

Camp Dates: June 22, 2026 – August 14, 2026
π Schedule Options (Monday–Friday):
- Full-Day: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Extended Day: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Assistant Teachers: May choose full-day, half-day, and/or extended day schedules
π¨ Position Overview
The Art Farm NYC is hiring Lead Camp Teachers and Assistant Camp Teachers for Summer 2026. These roles support a dynamic camp program for children ages 2–10, featuring arts & crafts, outdoor play, nature exploration, and hands-on learning activities.
This is a structured, team-based environment where staff are expected to be engaged, reliable, and safety-focused while creating a fun and positive experience for campers.
π§© Role Breakdown
Lead Camp Teacher (Full-Time)
Responsible for leading a group of campers, following lesson plans, managing behavior, and ensuring a high-quality daily experience.
Assistant Camp Teacher (Full-Time or Part-Time)
Supports Lead Teachers with supervision, activities, and daily routines.
Flexible scheduling available, including half-days and extended day shifts (2:00–6:00 PM).
π οΈ Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and actively engage children in a safe, structured environment
- Lead or assist with arts & crafts, games, and outdoor activities
- Follow camp schedules and lesson plans (Lead Teachers)
- Support daily transitions, routines, and group management
- Encourage positive behavior, teamwork, and creativity
- Maintain a clean and organized camp space
- Communicate professionally with families and team members
- Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures
- Attend required training and staff meetings

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in an active, fast-paced environment
- Interest in working with children in a camp or educational setting
- Prior experience in childcare, camps, or education (preferred but not required)
