About the Role:
Are you a positive, energetic, and creative individual who loves working with children? The Art Farm NYC is looking for Lead Camp Teachers to join our dynamic summer camp program! We serve children ages 3-10 and provide a fun, safe environment for growth, learning, and creativity. We're searching for individuals who can embrace the fun of summer camp, keep a smile on their face, and work well with a supportive team of co-teachers and camp leadership.
As a Lead Camp Teacher, you'll help guide our campers through exciting activities while maintaining a safe, supportive atmosphere. You'll follow lesson plans, manage camper behavior, and ensure a high-quality experience for all. Your leadership will help motivate the team and make this summer unforgettable for our campers and their families!

Key Responsibilities:
- Follow schedules and lesson plans provided by the camp director
- Address child behavior concerns with the support of your team
- Promote camper safety and well-being throughout the camp day
- Lead physical education activities when required
- Provide friendly, helpful customer service to families, campers, and staff
- Support staff morale and motivation, ensuring programs are engaging and fun
- Model a professional appearance and responsible behavior for staff and campers
- Respond effectively to emergencies and manage incidents when needed
- Record medical incidents and complete required documentation
- Attend pre-program training and scheduled staff meetings
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- A passion for working with children
- A friendly, approachable, and positive attitude
- The ability to work in compliance with all NYS childcare guidelines (Our camp is licensed by the NYC Board of Health)
- Experience in an educational, childcare, or summer camp setting (preferred but not required)
