About the Role

We’re looking for energetic and responsible Assistant Camp Teachers to support our Extended Day Program from 2:00–6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. In this role, you’ll help ensure campers continue to have a safe, engaging, and fun experience after the core camp day ends.

Whether you're supporting indoor and outdoor activities, managing transitions, or helping with end-of-day pickup, your energy and teamwork will help end each camper’s day on a high note!

What You’ll Do

• Supervise and engage campers during the afternoon program

• Assist with structured and unstructured activities, including crafts, games, and free play

• Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to maintain a positive group environment

• Help manage camper behavior in a nurturing and proactive way

• Ensure a smooth transition during camper pickup and end-of-day routines

• Communicate with families and staff in a friendly and professional manner

• Follow all health and safety procedures set by the NYC Department of Health

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine love for working with children

• A positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude

• Ability to stay calm and upbeat in a fast-paced environment

• Previous experience in childcare, camps, or education (a plus, but not required)

• Availability to work afternoon shifts (2:00–6:00 PM) Monday through Friday

• Willingness to attend training sessions before camp begins
